A and G OHIO Recap

Officially back from A&G, though my mind is still kinda feeling in a daze right about now.

Overall words of con =  "Nailed it"

whole weekend was spent goofing off with James, Jason, and Carter. Original plan of coming down Friday night was thrown out the door around 3pm on Thursday when Roberts called me up and told us we had the room for Thursday. "Coming down on Friday morning was the plan; tonight was is an adventure" was the quote of that night from Terrararararara, who I ended up picking up after his shift at abouts midnight. Didn't arrive at the hotel til 1:30am, and didn't go to sleep until 5 or 6.

woke up that morning on friday, -- rather afternoon seeing it was noon. Four of us went down to the main lobby restaurant to see that the place had already stopped serving. The waitress took pitty on us, and talked the chef into still serving one more round. fucking best food ever, even though the head chef had his right hand broken/sprained. between the 4 of us we left liek a $35 tip the first day.
Rest of Friday was pretty mello. Ran about, hit up a few people, kept seeing familiar faces from working Canterlot Gardens but didn't realize it til half way through the weekend. Got some photoshoots done by Potatokraken Photography and CT Graphy with Ruggles in our Master Forms. Also started debating on entering the Masq since I've done it for X amount of years at Ohayo and decided to give it one more go for the hell of it since I spent near $400 on Sora worth of mats and labor. Told Jason and James to come with me; Friday night, from being in balloon pants the entire day, I felt like stripping down and got into spandex. Unfortunately the lighting in the hotel was not the greatest for Vanitas, so switched to Ro. That lasted about maybe 20 minutes of wearing him in the room, then crashed into bed.

Saturday, busy again. Didn't end up waking up til mid afternoon, and didn't really have a set time on when. Jumped right into Sora again and mostly walked the halls. Got to hang with StaffPoo from Ohayol, (who was rooming right next to us - WIN) Shottsy Arts - Twisted Tails, Ball, and a few others I have yet to find on facebook. Didn't go to too many panels (shocker) and spent some time outside figuring out how to spin Hero's Crest around my palm for shits and giggles for the Masq. Was still kinda a blur to the fact I was so freaking nervous. Walk ons came and went and thankfully didn't drop the blades. [/phew]; Jason worked the cat walk, posing straight "how you doin'?" on the ground, which got a HUGE laugh and applause from the audience. He won the award for acting in character during the walk ons. James won best alterations for his armor to the fact that he used easy buttons within the creation. honestly from running pasts masqs, I would have been happy if I would have gotten best props. When the Link won that for her sword and shield, Heart kinda sank because we looks like were were in the same tier. And I knew to god I wasn't going to beat the Tech priest. And though I didn't get a close look, both costumes phenomenal. So when DJ Derka and Ruggles called me up for the equivalent of best Journeymen, I thought I was going to break down and cry. Got back up to the room called up Carter to tell him that we won. He came up to the room gave me a bear hug and thought he swore he was going to have to beat someone up. xDDD

Ten minutes later, we had to rush to set up Tea Time. Originally we had a room with a 50 head capacity. 5 minutes after 10, we talked to staff and they managed to swap us to the bigger of the two panel rooms. Had a 90 person fit count, and we were filled to capacity for an +18 panel. Knew I should have brought more tea. Better news is, A&G wants to invite Jason back as a GUEST next year, and are planning on putting Tea Time in the main events. [/THUMBS UP]

After Tea Time, we chilled with Carter whom had been prepping for his show all weekend. (found out Thursday afternoon that he and his partner were to do their set Saturday night, even though he was the only one of the two there) So he managed to get some help from Dr3amland - -and let me tell you, these guys can rap. Going to try to get the videos up for him asap tonight, but gunna try to edit them a bit. The whole thing was just none stop fun.

Sunday morning wrapped up with us trying to pile out of the room, waking up an hour before check out and having to scramble. Said the goodbyes, and went back to C-Bus with the guys to eat at BWs so they could watch Wrestle Mania. (must say, still don't understand all of it, but stuck around for the first match). From there, hopped in the car to stop by a friend's house to drop off a gift to a friend's house, and finally got back home at about 11:00

This weekend could not have gone better for me. Just mind blown.
